IN FRAME

Dave Waldorf

I am an Armenian multidisciplinary artist born and raised in the capital city of Yerevan. I have defied societal norms and embraced my identity amidst racial and homophobic intolerance. From an early age, I have harnessed the power of art to confront social pressure and moral criticism and transformed my experiences into thought-provoking art projects showcasing my true self and advocating for LGBTQI+ rights, diversity, women's rights, and the stories of those mistreated. At the age of 15, I discovered my passion for fashion photography, using it as a medium to capture the essence of the story that touches me. This journey led me to drop my marketing course and pursue my dreams of creating impactful fashion editorials that inspire and influence those confined to conventional thinking. Now, I am based in Berlin, looking for new ways of creative path, transitioning into the world of software engineering and 3D art. I found endless possibilities and total freedom in coding, believing in the future of decentralization. By venturing into these fields, I aim to explore new avenues of creativity and further amplify his message of embracing individuality and diversity.

Areg Hovakimyan

My essence lies in the delicate space between the camera's light and the wall—where shadows dance and fill the void with stories untold. As a fashion model hailing from Yerevan, my journey on the runway is marked by collaborations with global brands like Zara, Pull&Bear, OVS, as well as with visionary designers such as Megi Gabunia, Armine Ohanyan, Gevorg Shadoyan, and others. Each project is a chapter of a book, and each catwalk is a verse in the poetry of fashion that we create together. But beyond the fabrics and the flashes, my pursuit is deeply personal. It's a dance with time, a race against the fading light. Life is very short and we have to find a way to freeze every moment. This insight took root during my childhood, when I experienced the loss of a friend who was very dear to me, understanding the fleeting nature of time. I'm driven by a desire to capture and preserve the essence of now, making every photograph, every look, and every runway show a testament to the beauty of the moment. Somehow I can say that it is my rebellion against the march of time, my way of etching my presence into the fabric of the now, hopefully forever. At least, if you're reading this, one more attempt has been made. In this world of fleeting shadows and brilliant lights, my career is more than a series of snapshots; it's a mosaic of moments that defy the passage of time. Through the lens, in the silence between clicks, breaths, and sights, I find my purpose in creating permanence in the light.

Amalia Litvinenko

Hey there, I'm Amalia Minasian aka Litvinenko, based in the small town of Kapan. I'm a graphic designer. My passion lies in art, and I find inspiration in both music and people. My specialties include branding, packaging design, and web design. I’m passionate about creating designs that are not only visually stunning but also communicate a message effectively. In a world that spins faster than ever, I remain anchored in my passion. I’m always learning and experimenting with new design techniques to keep my work fresh and innovative.

Mariam Harutyunyan

Into life's existential depths where I search for a documentary buff, life's extreme chaos, and find solace in rhythmic beats and serene mountains, through my being, I constantly explore the natural and metaphysical symbiosis of life itself. And in my mind. Currently, I am engaged in UX/UI design and the sensibility of human-centered approaches. I prefer fashion mags and anything science or nature-related! Maths is what I love. P.S. I never take myself too seriously, and that’s why my friends love having me around.

Ani Sakhlyan

I'm Ani Sakhlyan(she/they), Post Soviet Child, DJ, Software Engineer, Activist, Empath. Hailing from Vanadzor, maturing in Yerevan and currently based in Berlin. Former resident at Poligraf club, former resident at MOCT collective. Behind my back are performances at festivals throughout the world (Armenia, Russia, Georgia, Germany, Czech Republic), collaboration with the legendary Herrensauna and making history as the first Armenian DJ on infamous Hör radio. As a resident at Femmedecks collective, I co-organize non-profit events in Berlin elevating voices of FLINTA, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and genderqueer artists and creating safe spaces for them. Beyond artistic activity, my activism extends to co-organizing demonstrations with Ararat Berlin, an Armenian antifascist, anticolonial, queerfeminist collective founded during the Artsakh war in 2020. As an independent artist and curator my longterm goal is building network among DJs, musicians, contemporary artists and cultural activists with a common aim of platforming talents from former soviet union territories, raise their issues and support their struggle against multiple colonialisms.

Monte Harutyunyan

Hello, I'm Monte Harutyunyan, a philosopher from the Armenian Highlands. In an era dominated by technological advancements like ChatGPT, Google, and Spotify, I firmly believe that humanity's true quest lies not in seeking answers, but in asking the right questions. As a philosopher, my mission is to guide others toward introspection and critical thinking by helping them unearth profound inquiries that lead to deeper understanding and meaning. After my competitive snowboarding career, I shifted to developing a freeriding culture in Armenia. This led to the co-founding of IRIDEARMENIA, a public project aimed at organizing events, competitions, expeditions, and operations. Collaborating with Armenian-based riders, athletes, movement artists, and pilots, we forged a vibrant community united by our passion for adventure and exploration. Inspired by my experiences in the outdoors, I developed my own layering theory adapted to the unique landscapes of Armenia and the dynamic urban culture. This journey ultimately culminated in the co-founding of PALMONFIST, a tech-wear brand that seamlessly blends functionality with style. Through PALMONFIST, I seek to strike a balance between outdoor activities and fashion, mountains and cities, artists and athletes, nature and culture, aesthetics and ethics, love and power. My life's work revolves around finding equilibrium among life's diverse dimensions, and through my philosophy, outdoor exploration, and entrepreneurship, I am trying to inspire others to start their own journeys of self-discovery and balance.

Мanifest of a living artist

I am not an artist;

I don’t have a talent

I am an absolute mediocrity.

I don’t know any muse

I never draw

I don’t know how to dance

I cannot sing

I don’t know any compositions or proportions

I am very far from the theories

I am scared of a philosophy...
