AN INDEPENDENT MAGAZINE ABOUT THE PRESENCE BASED IN ARMENIA

DASEIN Magazine is an independent, Armenia-based publication dedicated to showcasing the vibrant and diverse voices of emerging artists, creative personas, and cultural activists from Armenia and the global Armenian diaspora. Founded by three visionary women, DASEIN aims to represent and elevate our contemporary culture internationally, offering a unique platform for those whose stories often go unheard.

We aim to bridge the gap between local and global artistic communities, fostering creative exchanges that inspire and empower. We are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and versatility, focusing on highlighting the work of women, minority groups, and independent creatives.

Through our beautifully designed print issues, digital content, and collaborative projects, DASEIN provides a space for artists, designers, photographers, musicians, and more to express themselves freely and authentically. We believe in the power of storytelling and visual arts to drive social change, challenge norms, and inspire new ways of thinking.

As a non-profit organization, DASEIN operates with the support of grants and contributions from our founders, enabling us to maintain our independence and dedication to high-quality content. Our annual budget allows us to produce thought-provoking issues that are visually stunning and culturally significant.

Since our inception, we have completed over 100 collaborative projects, each contributing to a growing network of creatives passionate about making a difference. DASEIN is more than just a magazine; it is a movement that champions the voices of those who dare to dream and create.

Join us as we continue to explore and document the stories that define our time, both in Armenia and beyond.

CEO at DASEIN.

I am an Armenian and Israeli contemporary artist, cultural activist, and designer who lives and works in both countries. I am a co-creator of an art collective (Y collective), jointly with the artist Anna Vahrami. The main issue of collaborative research is the cooperation between art and science and emerging technologies in the cultural processes. This paradigm became a contemporary translation tool. It can translate from the technological to the humanitarian and connect humans to the nonbiological in the surest way by saving critical personal qualities and making human understanding and analyzing patterns of adopting a new reality. In addition, I am a founder of the "Metamodernist Initiative Independent Group" (MIIG) event management team, jointly with Anna Vahrami and Ina Abrahamyan.

I am a multidisciplinary artist from Yerevan. I contributed to many local art initiatives, including the annual festival of alternative art at ACCEA (several times), the exhibition “Timewave” hosted by Armenia Art Foundation, and many more. In 2019, I participated in the "Armenia?" exhibition curated by Liudmila Kirsanova in Vienna, Austria. Also, I was chosen for Das Frauenkulturbüro artist in the residency program in Germany. Together with my friend and artist Vanane Borian, rooted in our motives and mutual ideas, we decided to create an art duo called “y collective” that aims to develop artistic practices that expand knowledge in the field of technological and scientific art and acquire the necessary knowledge and international experience to promote these areas in Armenia.

I am a cinephile with a profound dedication to the study of cinematic observations, resulting in a passionate appreciation for art house cinema. My professional journey has led me to the role of a film director, where I have had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed Armenian directors, encompassing feature films and mini-series. Furthermore, I have expanded my creative horizons into video production. In 2020, I established the alternative advertising agency "Inalternate." Concurrently, in partnership with Vanane and Anna, we embarked on a venture in event planning under the banner of "MIIG." This multifaceted journey has brought us to the precipice of an exciting project, "Dasein," which I envision as a fertile ground for its envisioned development.
